Moths perched

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Good day my friend...
The easiest way to tell the difference between moths and butterflies is to see the moth and butterfly wings when perched or rest.

Moths usually rest with their wings spread to their side. Butterflies are often folded its wings over their backs when they roost even though they sometimes will 'sunbathe' with their wings spread out for a short period.

Sharing the beauty of moth with several pictures macros with you, this moth perched on wild plants in my garden.

Antennas on Butterfly shaped like a stick with a bulge at the end. While the moth antenna is shaped like a comb.
