What a great moth! It looks like one of the Silk-moths, Hyalophora. In Michigan, you might have known one, the Cecropia moth - the largest moth of North America. You can tell it's a male from its feathery antenna that sense the pheromones of the females. They don't have anything but those females on their mind -- they don't even have any mouthparts to eat.

Wow, maybe its a similar deal with this one. It spent all day in the house with it's wings spread out like that, literally turning itself like a solar panel towards the light. It's gone now, but it was there until at least midnight.

It's so neat that you got good pictures of it! If you ever go to a place with bright lights at night, I bet you would see so many cool moths! Or even if you hung up a sheet and shined a bright light on that for a few hours on a warm, humid night. You probably have so many cool moths in your jungle!
