Beautiful Orchid Flowers....!!
Walking around in a Exclusive Shopping's Mall anywhere in the world you most likely always come across something beautiful, usually and elegant as i did in this shopping mall. I myself love anything that looks beautiful and done with elegance. This particular store had certainly gone to that trouble of making itself stand out by displaying the most beautiful flower the Orchid which is very common but always catches you eye.
This is one of my most loved flower because not only of the many colors in come in but because it has a wise appearance about it. They look quite unlike regular flowers because of their geometrically shaped petals, which make them highly desirable and exotic.
Orchids are one of the highly loved flowers that represent luxury, beauty and strength. They are beautiful and delicate flowers.
Pink orchids symbolize grace, joy, affection and happiness and can also symbolize innocence and femininity.
White orchids represent reverence and humility, innocence and purity, and elegance and beauty....!!
Yellow orchids represent fertility, friendship and joy....!!
Bird’s Head Orchid - This one is a gorgeous pink orchid flower belonging to the Phalaenopsis genus. The flower looks unique for the sole reason that it looks like a little bird’s head guarding the nectar of the flower.
Did you know that certain species of Orchid can survive up to 100 years. And that Orchids have the largest variety of flowers with the number of officially documented species standing at an amazing 25,000 plus....!!
In ancient Greece, orchids were associated with virility.
Greek women believed that if the father of their unborn child ate large, new orchid tubers, the baby would be a boy.
If the mother ate small orchid tubers, she would give birth to a girl. Well we all believe different but they where some of the beliefs of ancient times.
During the Victorian era, orchid symbolism shifted to luxury, and today this sense of magnificence and artful splendor continues, with orchids representing rare and delicate beauty.
The orchid flower’s message is difficult to dismiss. This exotic flower brings beauty and grace to any occasion with flowers that appear to float in the air.
In Chinese medicine, the orchid is used as an herbal remedy to ease coughs and lung diseases; treat kidney, lung and stomach deficiencies; and treat eye diseases.
