The Oregon Coast is Beautiful This Early Summer Evening
Hello Steeman Beings, my family and I are at one of our favorite get-a-way spots, Lincoln City Oregon. We come a few times a year, it's only a swift two hour drive. As I smoke my evening cigar, beach-side, I want to share a few photos from just a short time ago.
A random photo of my daughter striking a pose as I walk by, I thought it turned out well.
Chinook Winds Casino Resort had sent us a coupon for a free night stay during the week, so I had to take advantage. The weather upon arrival was 62 degrees without even a breeze. I am not a photographer, but I took a few shots tonight with my iPhone.
The West Coast beaches have the benefit of viewing the sunset, but the Oregon Coast can be dangerous, stormy, and cold.
A chaotic peacefulness comes to my mind.
My two sons and I enjoying the view and a little skimboard action.
Oh the Steem price this evening! It makes the ambiance even better!
Have a good evening and a lovely weekend Steemians, I have a Drew Estate Feral Flying Pig slated for review, when I get back home tomorrow
However, in the meantime a Padron:
My apologies for the blurry cigar picture, but it is time to put this phone down and just enjoy the rest of the evening.
I'll leave you with the sunset a couple of hours ago
-Greg
Great Photos, looks relaxing
Indeed, thank you!
I love the drive from Astoria to Lincoln City (Where the Inn at Spanish Head is my goto destination)... avoid the yuppyville stops (Seaside, Cannon Beach), except for Dooger's, stop at the Blue Heron (Tillamook) for wine and cheese, then on to Spanish Head. Thanks for the memories!
I always hear about the Inn at Spanish Head, it looks so nice. We love Chinook winds, not because we are gamblers, but because a hotel on the beach is expensive... like Vegas, casinos can offer cheap lodging since most pay the true cost or more by gambling.
Ohhh, Tillamook! Those without the cheese are without dairy luxury! We buy a 5lb block from Costco every month😁
Yes, the wine here in the valley is legit.. but I haven't been to any wineries in Tillamook, yet.
Those are some outstanding pics! I wouldn't my trying a bit of metal detecting on that beach...looks ripe with gold! Sunsets and water cant be beat. Followed :)
Thank you for the comment and follow!
Now that you mention it, I don't recall ever seeing metal detectors on the beach.
