That first shot of the sunset has to be one of the best photos I've seen on steemit since I joined in early May - wow - be proud!
Thanks! :P It was shot in late evening. Sun had set a long time. Only the red glow remained.

I have to go - what time of the year is best?
Depends what you want. We have 4 seasons here, it gets green from Mai. 0 mountains.
If you wan't bright nights - mid-June.
If you wan't snow ~December to February.
I think the nature is quite boring mostly. You'll have to scout out some places first.
