Sea Kayaker and his Trusty Steed

This kayaker is very fond of his Valley Nordkapp Kayak. He's owned it since 1982 and has travelled hundreds of nautical miles, mostly around the islands of Scotland, in it.

That's the west coast of Jura in the background.

I'm reliably informed that, at the time of purchase, this was the best Sea Kayak on the market and was even used to paddle around Cape Horn. I wouldn't have thought that was even possible ins such a small craft! 😁

What makes this big boys toy special is that you can carry lots of gear in it. So there's plenty of room for everything you need to stop off and camp in the wild for at least 2 weeks and be comfortable and safe.

Assuming you're fit enough, you can cover 20 miles a day easily.

It's narrow which means it's fast, moving smoothly through the water.

It's good for the intermediate to advanced paddler but a little wobbly for the novice. That counts me out then!
