A vintage wine is one made from grapes produced at a specific season of the year and is branded as such. The palate, colour, nose, and development of the wine can all affect the character of the wine.

When high-quality wines are properly preserved for a long time, they taste even better. Bottles of vintage wine were typically saved for future consumption by regular wine consumers.
