Hi again!

On June 17th I visited the Finnish Airforce 100 year celebration airshow. Here are a couple of photos I took...

You can also take a look at some of the other photos I took by checking out my FAF100 album on Flickr. I have been a bit lazy editing them, but as I eventually add more of them, I will make a new post about it on Steem.

I hope you liked these! :)

See ya soon!

@gamer00,
Wow those are great photography of that event! It might not be easy to get such clear and quality photography instantly without having a good practice and experience! Thank you very much for sharing such wonderful photo collection!

Cheers~

Why lt's have a nazi cross on it?

It's not a nazi cross. The swastika symbol (卐 & 卍) was in use long before the Nazis started using it as the Hakenkreutz. In Eastern Asian philosophies it is regarded as a symbol of divinity and spirituality, and in Western lore, as a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck (the reason why it was adopted by air forces of some countries), at least until after the second world war, when it eventually got demonized in the west, as a nazi symbol.

Ow, great photography as it not easy to catch those plane stay on from ground, but you have done some special photo on that day.

Was this the plane that the Red Baron flew?

Nope.

Mannfred von Richthofen flew many planes (Albatros C.III, Albatros D.II, DIII, D.V, Dr.I, Halberstadt D.II), but the name Red Baron was only given to him after he painted his Albatros D.III completely red. However the plane that most is most commonly affiliated with the name Red Baron is the triplane Fokker Dr.I, the one he made his last 19 kills, and also died in.

However, Richthofen did influence the Fokker D.VII design, as he championed its development by giving ideas on how to get over the shortcomings of the German fighter aircrafts of the time. He was unfortunate to never fly the plane, as he died before the plane entered into service.

Hey, I learned something. I didn't realize there were so many different models of the plane. Who knows what he could have done if he actually could fly a better version of the plane he used?

Hi gamer. Those are fantastic photos. Haven't seen a bi plane for a while.

Congratulations to Finnish air-force for celebration of 100 years of them. Glorious exhibition of them on the sky. Awesome captures @gamer00.

You captured the shots perfectly at the perfect moment so nice to see these all the shots thanks for sharing this with us : )

These are some sweet photos and had no motion blur. Nice work.

Thanks! I was a bit torn if I should've used somewhat slower shutter speed to not completely stop the rotors.

Hi! These are very old airplanes like the one we saw in old films! They appeared to be very fast and ferocious in those films. Here they look so gentle and harmless.

Good luck with the dig show!!
Hope Ninnu would be very popular!

if I remember that event you posted several good photos, but it seems that you stopped the plane to take the photo ..
