What was once the most imposing European Casino, nowadays is a ruin!

Symbol of the largest port of Romania, the casino on the cliff in Constanta City was built in 1904-1910 at the initiative of King Carol I. However, this monument, which should be the pride and attraction of the Constanta city, is in an advanced degradation state. Nobody cares! For years, the authorities have been guilty and blame from one side to another in a war of statements that only harm this monument. The last renovation of the monument was just before the Revolution in 1986, and it lasted for almost a year. Shortly after the inauguration, the Beachfront Casino becomes one of the best-known institutions of its kind in Europe. Inside, it was a luxurious place with beautifully decorated walls, sophisticated chandeliers, expensive carpets, and furniture of choice. Access to this exclusivist place was only allowed to people with influence and distinctive attire.
