Hi, in this part I want to show you a great close-up view of a Green Tree Python and a Savu Python, resting next to each other on a tree branch. It seems that both Pythons are looking into the camera.

Green Tree Pythins live in the rainforests of New Guinea and northern Australia. In adaption to their habitat, these constrictors, which grow to a length of approximately 1,8 meters, are surprisingly slender and weigh only 1,5 kg. These ambush predators, whose preffered prey includes birds and small rodents, tend not to travel far, often lingering for weeks at a time in one place, their bodies hanging in loops over a tree branch.

[German] Grüne Baumpython bewohnen die Regenwälder von Neuguinea bis Nordaustralien. In Anpassung an ihren Lebensraum bleiben die etwa 1,8 m großen Riesenschlangen auffallend schlank und wiegen nur etwa 1,5 kg. Die standorttreuen Lauerräuber, die bevorzugt Vögel und Kleinnager erbeuten, bleiben oft wochenlang an einem Ort, wo sie eingerollt über einem waagerechten Ast hängen.
