A Cold Shadow
One of my all time favorite things about living on this farm has got to be the sunsets. Anytime that the sun is actually up, we get a beautiful display of colors. This evening is a great example of just that.
The last couple of days the sun as been out and warming everything up. It is still only about 25 degrees, but it feels like it is 70. When playing around with Stacie D (@freedomtowrite) yesterday I actually took my shirt off outside for a bit. Without the wind it felt amazing!
As I was just beginning to settle in for the day, this tree caught my eye. In the pasture right next to the house, the birthing pasture, there are several apple trees. I thought it was so pretty to see the trees shadow on the frozen snow. It isn't normal snow, but deep snow that has melted and refrozen.
With the sun setting down over the trees in the far west pasture, I saw the sun through the apple trees branches. I may not have the "best" camera..yet, but I love taking the time to take pictures of the amazing world around me. I know that if I take the time to slow down and look around, there will surely be something worth taking a picture of.

Who doesn't love a nice sunset, natures free show. We get some nice ones here too and it sets over the water which is nice as we see it go all the way down rater then dipping behind mountains.

I love this picture, I'm a sucker for a bit of sun through any tree, I think it's one of the prettiest sites we get to enjoy here, the only things lovelier are our sunrises and sunsets. :D
