Minnesota Nature
Here are a few more shots of the beautiful Minnesota environment. Now that spring is here, the ice is gone and the flowers are doing what flowers do. Here's a close-up of the current prolific wildflower. In the forests here, the wildflowers seem to take turns to some extent. Shortly after the thaw, everything seemed blue. Now, the colors have shifted to whites, creams, and yellows, although some purple-ish "sweet rockets" continue to bloom profusely in some spots.

One of my first posts was of Triple Falls, a rural waterfall near Mankato, MN. As the area has been receiving a lot of rain, lately, I decided to make another trip out there. The waterfall is significantly more impressive, now!

Behind the waterfall, there is a natural recess. With a little practice, and if you don't mind getting dirty, you can climb up and into the recess for a spectacular view.

The above photo was taken at 1/8000 of a second to freeze the scene. I found the way that this sheet of water distorts and bends the light beautiful and fascinating.
Well, amigos, I sincerely hope that you enjoy the photos!
