Chimney Rock is in the high desert of Central Oregon. To get to this hike you drive through the Lower Crooked River scenic area. It is a desert canyon type landscape with a nice river running down the middle. The hike itself is short and steep, with very rewarding views at the top. This whole area is BLM land and is a hidden gem that gets very little traffic. It is a great place to go find solitude in nature.

Did you guys climb it?
No, I looked at it and thought about it but it seemed a bit dicey for a free climb and I didn't have any gear with me.
