Cobwebs

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Sometimes, when one is cleaning, one finds something beautiiful that will be destroyed in the process. So it was with this cobweb, a couple of weeks ago. Taking this photograph was the only way I know how to preserve it.

Taken with my Samsung bridge camera and touched up in Picasa

Fabulous capture! I've tried photographing these things, and they are difficult to snag on a photo! Great job, with good focus and perfect lighting! Thanks for sharing this gem in #steemitbloggers 😊

Thanks, @thekittygirl! I am a little obsessed with photographing these and then trying to edit as little as possible. I don't always get the opportunity, let alone get it right - I'm often in a rush to get things done and haven't got the time to fetch the "proper" camera and spend time finding the right angle. That, I have learned, is the secret. Perhaps I'll trawl all my photos and do a post just of spiders' webs. I didn't participate in @claudiaz spider web contest because it coincided with my being hacked and a really busy patch, so perhaps I'll just do one anyway! It's added to my list. I have two other, longer-read posts "brewing".... :)

Lol. In other to take a picture of the cobweb, you had no choice but to preserve it. On a normal day, you would have just cleaned it off.

Nice photography anyways.

Hahaha! @kweenbrand, I fetched the camera, took the photo (a couple, actually) and then cleaned it off...

Brave enough to get up close and personal with mister spider @fionasfavourites nicely done with the lighting.
