When I first climbed to the top of the mountain, I thought that on it and in the deeds are performed serious miracles. Imagine the picture: it shines in the whole sun on a blue sky, flooding everything around with white light, and under your feet - ashes. And where you do not look - there are black burned pines, and between them lie white stones.

Когда я впервые поднялся на вершину горы, то подумал, что на ней и в самом дел творятся нешуточные чудеса. Представьте картину: сияет во всю солнце на голубом небе, заливая всё окрест белым светом, а под ногами - пепел. И куда не посмотришь - стоят чёрные обгоревшие сосенки, и между ними лежат белые камни.

Immediately the memory came from footage from children's film-fairy tales, showing the possessions of Baba-Yaga or Koshchei. The explanation of the magical landscape is quite ordinary - some gouges staged a year earlier a fire on the Mountain, which naturally there was no one to extinguish. The mountain burned, while there was something to burn. Fortunately, there are few on the top of the trees, and they are similar in appearance to representatives of the tundra.

Сразу на память пришли кадры из детских фильмов-сказок, показывающие владения Бабы-Яги или Кощея. Объяснение волшебного ландшафта вполне обыденное - какие-то раздолбаи устроили годом ранее пожар на Горе, тушить который естественно было некому. Гора горела, пока было чему гореть. К счастью - на вершине деревьев мало, и росточком они похожи на представителей тундры.

The mountain in general is an interesting place for nature lovers: at the bottom is the taiga, at the top is the tundra.
But the shape of trees deserves special attention.

Гора вообще представляет интересное место для любителей природы: внизу - тайга, на вершине - тундра.
Но особое внимание заслуживают формы деревьев.

What is the cause of this phenomenon, I do not know. Among the explanations there is a scientific one - in winter it forces ice on the branches and breaks them off, and in summer in the Vetto-vaar strong winds, and unscientific - the energy of the earth goes out through the trunks and twists them. To whom to believe - everyone decides for himself.

Что является причиной такого феномена, я не знаю. Среди объяснений есть научные - зимой намерзает на ветвях лёд и обламывает их, а летом на Вотто-вааре сильные ветра, и ненаучные - энергия земли выходит через стволы и закручивает их. Кому верить - каждый решает для себя самостоятельно.

After the fire, the black pines generally looked very man-made. As if they were created by some obscured sculptor.

После пожара чёрные сосны вообще стали выглядеть очень по-рукотворному. Как-будто их создал какой-нибудь обкуренный ваятель.

Sometimes there are really horrible installations.
