The Enchanting Angels of Regents Street
Having spent almost the entire day out in Central London, the most difficult thing to contend with (apart from all the Christmas shopping to sift through) were the throngs of people! It's literally chaos out there as navigating carefully through the maze-like, narrow streets can be quite very tricky at the best of times.
Though a mere few feet up in the air running almost the whole length of Regents Street (One of the main high streets leading into the heart of Central London) are this year's Christmas lights. Here in this great city, they are without a doubt a most popular annual "themed" attraction which tourists and locals alike can enjoy in all it's glorious beauty. I was particularly happy with this year's selected designs and beautiful artistry. The "angels" were not just some cardboard-like 2D pictorial representations but fully fleshed out 3D manifestations that spanned across the width of the road. Truly a unique and magnificently realised vision.
I remember a few years back how the "powers that be" went for a more advertisement type feel which got me a little disappointed. After all, all the Christmas cash-grabbing is bad enough at the floor level of the high street, but pushing it as the main theme of the famous Regents Street light display was a little overboard. Well, I felt that way, at least. But not this year. This was the way it always should have been and I loved it.
Well done, peepz in charge of doing a "proper job" with the lights! May the traditional themes of Christmas carry on for many a year to come. Done how it ought to be! :)

Man makes me wonder what the rest of Europe looks like during holidays...well whichever places celebrate xmas that is.
Yeah. Overall celebrations I expect would look similar to many respects. But I'd love to check them all out some day. :)
