The center of a rose
I had this pretty rose in a vase... and was waiting and waiting.. and only started to take some photos after it started to slowly decay.
Way after it's prime time it is the most photogenic. With the petals slowly fading, opening more and showing the center. I like the beautiful roses, but this stage is more interesting.
So beautiful how it is all so tightly packed inside. All hidden, covered with petals.
Now finally see the daylight. Just for a moment before everything dies and falls off.
Shot with Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105mm lens

Even a dying, there is so much beauty.
It seems you have a plethora of life in and around your home. Do you ever make potpourri or anything else with clippings or fallen leaves?
Haha lots of plants for sure. Some come and go... some stay :)
No, I never do it. I used to dry petals and flowers to make Cards. But that was in... last century :p
:)
