Some grasses are mean - Trifolium angustifolium
As fluffy and cute it may look, it is actually petty nasty! All those sticking out dry parts are super sharp as kitty claws! I know why... to protect the fluffy part from touching and betting... Cheeky.
This is Trifolium angustifolium and besides the fluff and nasty thorns it has some tiny, pinky flowers too. See those dry pinkish leftovers? Those used to be flowers. I didn't manage to photograph it in bloom, but the dry, seed producing version is pretty nice to look at. Especially when they covers larger areas and they all do they synchronized wind dance.
But wait..
There are fluffies right on the other side of the path that you (or I) can pet!
Soft as a bunny :)
