I counted 4 cacti that are growing flower buds. Three of them are Mammillarias. I guess they like the cold. They shrunk quite a lot. From nice and fatty balls they look more like pears now. But that is fine. In a few weeks they will start receiving water and will plump back.
As for now I am just looking how the buds evolve. And I am so happy to see more and more comping up!
All Mammillaria lovers dream is to have them blooming with a nice circle of flowers around. I think I might get that with this one. That is if they all open in the same time. A nice hula ula all around. It looks so cute then!
Could it be Mammillaria Spinosissima Rubrispina? Maybe.. who knows...
On some photos it look like my one, on some it doesn't. I am pretty the flowers will be pink though.

Can't help you with names, except to say that it looks like one of mine and the flowers will be pink.
But they know that the seasons are turning and they are getting ready. My winter-growing mesembs are all busy making new growth. Some flowers, some leaves
Most definitely pink. The buds are getting bigger and bigger and are so dark!
Oh, mine is trying to grow! It is inside but pushing out new growth. Cactus are interesting and intriguing but always leave owchies on me!
