Someone is not happy

in #photography6 years ago

No, not me. I am a happy camper!
But those Cosmos flowers are definitely not bursting with joy. The season for them is almost over and you can tell by the look of the petals that they are growing on the last reserves.

The colours are still amazing. But the petals are deformed, some are missing, some don't open fully.
It is still nice to see them right outside my balcony door when I drink my morning coffee. But I know winter is coming and I will have to clean the leftovers soon. Hope that they will grow back next year.
There was some seed pods on older ones so I left the seeds in the soil where they grew. Almost like in wild nature. Let them be and they will know when to sprout.

Good news is... that I have them in one pot with my Anemones and I saw first leaves popping. Great timing! One flowers gone, another ones will grow and bloom. I love it like that! :)

They are still very pretty even though they are deformed!

Oh yea :) i still go look at them every day!

Kind of :)
I don't get frosts here so will always have something blooming.

Perfect photos! It is rapidly getting close to the end.

It is... and I am glad. I like the cooler days.
Still quite many buds will open, so Autumn will be pretty.

I hope we have a nice long Autumn too! I don't have much blooming anymore. A few potted impatiens out on the deck are still going strong, but I need to go buy a couple of chrysanthemums for on the front steps to give it a little color out there!

Definitely! They look so amazing in the fall and have so many colours and flower sizes! :) It is great to have them. Especially that not many things bloom anymore.

This is super stunning.

Thank you :)

Still nice to look at.

I enjoy it for sure :)

Lovely flowers photos, very pretty.

Thank you very much Keith :)

I've seen this here as well. Let's hope they will be more happier :)

I remember them in garden as a kid. Tall and big. My ones are midgets :P

Yeah, they are usually tall. Looks like yours are adjusted to limited space 😁

Probably... in the ether hand. if they grow taller they will break fast on the wind.

That's true, strong winds can do a lot of damage.

Beautiful and gentle flower.
The sun is almost gone so it’s time to prepare for a long sleep. Purple spirit lingers on and go into hiding until it’s called by the warm sun again.
