Disappearing antiquity
In Velikiy Ustyug city a tragedy occurred - last Sunday the architectural monument of wooden architecture, a house at the crossroads of Krasnoarmeyskaya-Osipenko streets, burned down. In the fire, a 43-year-old man died, according to preliminary data, a leading antisocial lifestyle. The house was settled in the summer of this year.
This beautiful house was built in the late 19th century.
Until recently, I wrote about a documentary photography, about the need to preserve the cultural heritage at least in photographs...and here is an example.
Now we will have to strengthen the work on surveying architectural monuments, because it is not known which of them is next...
Fans of architecture, the Russian coloryte of provincial cities, I advise you to hurry and have time to capture the ancient beauty! In a few years it can disappear completely.

So sad! Will it be rebuilt, or demolished?
By the law should find an investor who must restore it or build a new the same. But in Russia they can just demolish it.
That is a shame - a very beautiful and unique building.
But one of the risks of wooden structures is they are susceptible to fire damage.
The authorities had to conserve access to the building, but they did not.

It's a shame that it's so damaged.
