Architecture of the old city

in #photography7 years ago

Great Ustyug is one of the oldest cities in Russia! This year he turns 870 years old. In a city of 35,000 inhabitants, many old houses and other architectural structures have been preserved, not counting a huge number of temples and monasteries per capita. In the meantime, I propose to look at the wooden architecture of the provincial town of Veliky Ustyug.

Most of the photos are made in the form of an option to strengthen the texture. A complex technique of shooting with a flashlight and an equally complex post-processing was used.

Great photos!

I grew up in Novocherkassk and there were a lot of old-style buildings (mostly stone/mortar ones as opposed to the wood architecture there).

Too bad some of these old buildings are falling apart.

We have many stone old houses, but the post was about wooden. Thank you!
