The forecast Saturday called for light snow here in eastern Nebraska. The morning started with a spectacular sunrise just a few hours before it would start snowing. These photographs were taken on Saturday morning, 3 December 2016.

It was a bright spot in a very snowy day. Fortunately the temperature was close enough to freeze that the snow did not accumulate as much as it could have.
