A little of both. When I first started the price of STEEM got down to 8 cents. I accumulated STEEM and took advantage of the STEEM inflation rate that was over 100% a year at that time. My other reason for increasing my STEEM was to increase my voting power.
Since then I have power down some to buy into other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and some ICO's.

When the price of STEEM dropped down to $0.77 yesterday, I bought some more STEEM. When the price of STEEM returns to $1.00, then I will have a gain on the order of 20%.
