Migrating Bird -- Yellow-Rumped Warbler (Original Photos)

in #photography6 years ago

Today, 16 April 2018, I spotted a bird I have not seen before visiting my bird feeders. I quickly got to my camera and took 90 pictures of the bird to try to identify it.

Photographs taken on 16 April 2018.

What A Difference A Day Makes

Yesterday I was taking picture of the April snowfall and today all the snow is gone.

Brief Stop-Over

This Yellow-rumped Warbler stopped by my bird feeders to refuel for the rest of his migration to the north.

I saw your post @etcmike
on Spring snow. this was taken of my dog last Spring in Georgia. I just joined Steemit and have several pictures i would like to share. Still trying to learn how

The spring of 2018 arrived a little late this year.
This time last year all the trees were in bloom and beginning to lose their blooms.

Fortunately this year, the trees have not bloomed yet. I am expecting to see the blooms by the end of this week.

How does this spring compare to last spring in Georgia?

Have a great weekend!

Mike

Last Spring was very wet @etcmike. Flowers did not bloom very well. Live in South Florida now. Flowers always in bloom. 20180421_183227.jpg

20180421_183555.jpg took theses today. Hibiscus and bougainvilea and a flowering palm

Nice pics! @etcmike. I tell you that I saw nice birds and strange for me outside my room here in Gothenburg but I couldn't take a good pics like you hahaha. I am still learning how to manage my new camera. If you don't read my anterior comment, I just wanted to say you, thanks for your help and appreciate my work.

I did read your other comment and you are welcome.

It took me a while to get it right using my camera. And in some ways I am still getting use to it.

I miss a lot of photo opportunities because I am adjusting the camera settings or trying to get the angle just right.

Have a great day!

Nice photos kind sir! I’m a beginner bird watcher but occasionally go with my mom. Got her a new pair of binocs a couple years ago and man, a nice pair really makes a difference.

Currently it’s snkwing here in Detroit. Unreal. It was 70 a few days ago. I’m ready for this winter to end...

Spring is coming... here in Nebraska we had three days in the 70's before the recent snow. The good thing about April snow is that it does not stick around. On 16 April I started seeing signs of spring. The trees are starting to bud for the first time this year.

The birds have definitely started migrating north. Keep a look out for birds that are not normally in your area.

Have a great week!

nice birds, beautiful photograph, perfect picture location, thanks for sharing, @etcmike.

It actually restarted snowing around here (Pittsburgh) :/

I think the Pittsburgh area is getting the storm that went through this area over the weekend. There are two more storms due to roll across the country this week. One will roll through Nebraska tomorrow, 18 April, and the last one this Friday, 20 April.
After these storms rolls across the country, spring finally arrives to the central and northern states.

There are signs of spring finally showing here in Nebraska.

Have a great visit to the United States!

Mike

Thanks for the clarifications. I could have checked myself, but I have stopped to check weather with this very long winter we had. Yep, this is what I have seen. Spring will be there when I will head back to Europe. Although, with flights and bad weather, I could always stay an extra day stuck on the East coast... This won't be the first time ;)

amazing this photography. How nice the photography is! """""

It really looks pretty beautiful :)

Nevertheless the Yellow shades made it look even more beautiful !

Little beauty. Bet they make pretty sound too.

Here is a link where you can listen to the sounds made by this bird:
