Moon-Rise in Sequence

As the moon rose above the horizon it silhouetted a tree in the distance.

Red Half-Moon

As the half-moon broke about the horizon the smoke in the air (from wildfires) gave the moon a red hue.

Red Tinted Half-Moon

The higher the moon rose on the horizon the more the red hue lessened.

White Half-Moon

As the moon continued to rise it rose far enough to be above the smoke layer and totally lost the red tinting.
