First Rose of 2018 (Original Photos)
The first rose of 2018 from my rose bushes appeared later than normal due to the freezing rain, ice, and extreme cold during the winter.

Recovering from a Hard Winter
Taking the advice of my neighbor's gardener, I cut back the rose bushes to the ground to remove the dead parts of each bush.
These pictures taken 5 May 2018 are a few days after I cut the bushes back.
