Girl Bike

Today I chose to ride my bike.
Which I have not done in a while.
I sat on the seat on this warm day,
And pushed forward on the pedal.

For the first time in a while,
I felt free. I felt like I was me.
The woman I thought I would become,
When I was a girl. A free girl.

Today I decided to ride my bike.
