Dominican Republic is a country rich in tourist places, emphasizing especially the natural environment, because here you will find the best beaches, rivers and nature reserves that you could ever imagine. Touring the best places of this island will leave you a unique memory of an incredible and unforgettable vacation, because how can you forget that you were in this tropical paradise?

So if you live on this island paradise or you plan to travel to this island, you must know even the least recommended place to visit, that is why I prepared a list of sites that should not be missed or should be included in Its adventurous itinerary. These range from beautiful beaches, to tourist areas of the capital. And now without further ado, here I leave these:

1.Colonial Zone

Visiting the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo - declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO - (capital of R.D.) is like taking a walk in the past, for that oldest area of this country. Here you can appreciate an incredible colonial architecture that goes back to 1510. A historical place that will reveal the most relevant data of the past of this nation.

2. I jump the lemon

An impressive waterfall of crystalline water that flows into a natural pool. The lemon leap is located in a tropical forest in the Samaná peninsula.

3. Cayo raised

It is also known as "Bacardi Island". It is a small and beautiful island located in the Bay of Samaná, from there we can appreciate incredible landscapes and feel like we moved to an earthly paradise.

4. Uvero Alto

A paradisiacal area of R.D., full of beautiful beaches of crystalline waters and white sand, located in the province of La Altagracia.

5. Pico Duarte

Impressive mountainous elevation located in the central Cordillera. Excursions to Pico Duarte (preferably in the month of January) is an activity not to be missed.
