Tips for Capturing good photos

in #photography7 years ago

In many cases we invest a lot of money in a good camera and we can not get a good photo. On the contrary, we only capture very bad pictures, one after another, due to details that we do not know about basic rules of photography, rules that every photographer, from the most Beginner to the most professional, should know. Here are some basic rules of photography with which you can take to improve the photos you capture and are pleasing to the eye.

1) The Rule of Thirds

This rule is very simple however creates a more pleasant view at the time of viewing the photo. It consists of imagining the divided image, in 9 equal parts using 2 parallel horizontal lines and 2 vertical lines and then placing the object that we want to photograph at some point of intersection of the lines.

This in photography is called strengths. These are points that especially attract attention and give the object greater interest and protagonism.

2) Observation of the Horizon

This rule is very useful for photographing landscapes. When capturing a photo, imagine 2 parallel horizontal lines dividing the photo into 3 equal parts.
It does not matter if the photo you want to do is horizontal or vertical you can also use it.

If you want to give more importance to the sky, place the horizon on the bottom line. If on the other hand you want to give greater importance to the terrestrial landscape, place the horizon in the second line, the upper one.

3) Dare to explore new angles

Experience shooting with your camera from different angles and unusual. For example you can take photos to the plants from other perspectives or capture the image of some historical building reflected in a puddle of water.

4) Get as close as you can

Use the Macro function of the camera and take photos very close to small objects. Like plants and insects. Something very attractive is to focus exclusively on the some detail object.RosaMacro.JPG

5) Throw yourself on the floor

To achieve magnificent photo, get on your knees, try to lower and place the camera at the same height as the object or animal you want to photograph, thus transmit more realism. Photographs from under buildings create an impressive effect.

6) Use the flash

For portraits, it is highly recommended to use the flash. Even if it is a particularly sunny day, the flash helps prevent shadow areas that occupy the face of the person. This is good if the person wears a sunshade or hat that projects shade or because the sun is on or behind the person you want to photograph. The use of flash in these cases is called a fill flash, and its purpose is to fill the face of the light subject so that it is uniform with what surrounds it.

7) Always shoot RAW

You make all your photos in RAW Mode. This format allows to preserve all the elements of the photo as the colors, light, shadows, saturation and through further processing, modify them to our desire. On the contrary if we capture a photograph using the JPG format would produce a photo in which the margin of modification would not be possible.

I hope these tips are useful, I'm just learning, but I hope that for the beginners is a little support.
