They advocate their protection through their domestication for dairy while turning blind eyes to the increase in beef & leather production due to increase in dairy production which finally compels them for slaughter.

Well, it's not a buffalo but it's a cow ...the most sacred animal of India. Known as holy cow, it is treated as equivalent to your own mother.
