Yes! This is Lotus Mahal.
Openwork carved 2-storey gazebo, which has absorbed the Arabic and Hindu styles. It is sometimes called the Indo-Saracenic style. The 2nd floor of the palace is very small, literally a few rooms. Lotus Palace.

Also, the lotus is carved on the dome. And the lotus, by the way, is one of the main symbols of Buddhism.
Nice and graceful! And it looks strange against the general background, the building does not look like anything. The Lotus Palace is planned so that the wind blows through the corridors. It may have once hung curtains to protect from the hot Indian sun. The purpose of this structure is not clear. In any case, this is not a palace, but a gazebo, nothing more. Nobody lived here permanently. Someone says that there was a harem here, someone says that it is just a tea gazebo. And someone thinks that the building had a purely military purpose. And in general there was no harem in this area; there was a military base with a powerful wall and watchtowers.
Who knows...

Guess what kind of building it is? And this is the Royal Elephant Stable for 11 elephant persons. Elephants were held in high esteem then.
And there is nothing to say about the royal elephants. The building is well preserved. And here you can see a mixture of Indian and Arabic motives. The central part is made in Indian style, but the rest of the domes are clearly of Muslim origin, greetings from the mosques. It is said that the royal orchestra was located in the central part. The king, if he came here, was greeted with music. One must think that the king bypassed the elephants, well, as Arab sheikhs now walk through the underground garage and admire their Ferrari and Rolls-Royces.

Presumably, officers lived here, but the building looks more like a warehouse or the same house for elephants.
Someone even says that eunuchs lived here, for the harem. This is a murky business. All this was long ago and now scientists can only fantasize.

But we didn't go here, some strange place. Yes, and they did not let us there, apparently all this was paid, but this was not included in the excursion program.

Hampi is enough, let's go to Badami. It is said that there are ancient rock temples there and it will be more interesting than Hampi. Hampi left a mixed impression. Insanely beautiful landscapes and interesting architecture. But a lot of frankly superfluous ruins.
There is no fun to walk on the remains of foundations where something was once. The wreckage is of no interest to anyone.

Schön und anmutig! Und vor dem allgemeinen Hintergrund sieht es seltsam aus, das Gebäude sieht nicht nach irgendetwas aus. Der Lotus Palace ist so geplant, dass der Wind durch die Korridore weht. Möglicherweise hat es einmal Vorhänge aufgehängt, um vor der heißen indischen Sonne zu schützen. Der Zweck dieser Struktur ist nicht klar. Auf jeden Fall ist dies kein Palast, sondern ein Pavillon, nichts weiter. Niemand lebte hier dauerhaft. Jemand sagt, dass es hier einen Harem gab, jemand sagt, dass es nur ein Teepavillon ist. Und jemand glaubt, dass das Gebäude einen rein militärischen Zweck hatte. Und im Allgemeinen gab es in dieser Gegend keinen Harem, es gab eine Militärbasis mit einer mächtigen Mauer und Wachtürmen. Wer weiß...
Ratet mal, was für ein Gebäude es ist? Und dies ist das Royal Elephant Camp für 11 Elefanten. Elefanten wurden damals hoch geschätzt.
Und über die königlichen Elefanten gibt es nichts zu sagen. Das Gebäude ist gut erhalten. Und hier sehen Sie eine Mischung aus indischen und arabischen Motiven. Der zentrale Teil ist im indischen Stil gestaltet, aber der Rest der Kuppeln ist eindeutig muslimischen Ursprungs, Grüße aus den Moscheen. Es wird gesagt, dass sich das königliche Orchester im zentralen Teil befand. Der König wurde, wenn er hierher kam, mit Musik begrüßt. Man muss denken, dass der König die Elefanten umgangen hat, nun, da arabische Scheichs jetzt in der Tiefgarage herumlaufen und ihre Ferrari und Rolls-Royces bewundern.

Vermutlich lebten hier Offiziere, aber das Gebäude sieht eher aus wie ein Lagerhaus oder dasselbe Haus für Elefanten.
Jemand sagt sogar, dass hier Eunuchen für den Harem lebten. Dies ist eine trübe Angelegenheit. Das alles ist lange her und jetzt können Wissenschaftler nur noch phantasieren.
Und in der Ferne ist der Lotus Mahal noch sichtbar.
Es gibt auch ein seltsames Freilichtmuseum.
Aber wir sind nicht hierher gegangen, an einen seltsamen Ort. Ja, und sie ließen uns nicht dorthin, anscheinend wurde das alles bezahlt, aber dies war nicht im Ausflugsprogramm enthalten.
Hampi ist genug, lass uns nach Badami gehen. Es wird gesagt, dass es dort alte Felsentempel gibt und es interessanter sein wird als Hampi. Hampi hinterließ einen gemischten Eindruck. Wahnsinnig schöne Landschaften und interessante Architektur. Aber viele offen gesagt überflüssige Ruinen.
Es macht keinen Spaß, auf den Überresten von Fundamenten zu spazieren, auf denen einst etwas war. Das Wrack ist für niemanden von Interesse.
