Lotus Mahal and the Royal Elephant Stable in Hampi. part 1

We continue our excursion to Hampi,India. It remains to see the last objects and we will finish the inspection of the antiquities of Hampi and go to see the ancient cave temples of Badami.
Even at the entrance to the Royal Baths, we saw a powerful wall and a watchtower. There was something to protect here: behind the wall are the Royal Baths, the Queen's Palace, the Lotus Mahal (harem) and much more.
In this part, the wall is fairly well preserved. Further in the photo it will be seen that this long wall encircles the entire territory of the so-called Women's Quarter. There was something to guard.
According to rumors, there was even a harem here. In some places the wall is almost destroyed, in some places it is well preserved.

But the people did not care much about all these antiquities. We saw a show of chipmunks. Chipmunks galloped over the windows of the tower and drew all the attention to themselves. The guide could tell you anything, who was listening to you!

It's funny that if people see a turtle or a chipmunk, or even a squirrel and the rest, no one is interested.
And try another photo of the chipmunk, which rushes like lightning greased with lard! Therefore, we spent some time on a photo session of the chipmunks.

On the inner side of the powerful stone fence with polygonal masonry, there are interesting decorative elements in the form of fish. Beautiful and unusual!

Some kind of technical building. In some places some powerful beds are visible. I still do not understand what it is and what it is for. Maybe it's just heaps of manure, then scattered over the lawn. The territory in this part of Humpi is clearly being tended.

And here is what remains of the queen's palace. With Zanan's watchtower in the background. In fact, only a powerful stone foundation remained. Here in this quarter, in principle, there is little left. Only a few buildings.

They say that there were many buildings made of wood, respectively, the buildings either burned down or rotted away. And the stone foundations remained. And even then not everywhere.
