Sometimes when I get low for those kind of shots, I lay myself down on my reflector (black side down of course!). Helps keep the soil off!

Haha good call! To be honest I rarely have a reflector big enough to hand, plus it makes the couples chuckle to see me absolutely covered in mud, water, grime and - every so often when I'm really lucky - dog shit!
