I've been using LR since version 1 but am not so enthusiastic about paying a monthly fee. Still after so many years it fits my work flow pretty well and would have to find a comparable replacement before considering.
I don't think there's anything as simple and powerful yet. But if you want to switch to switch to Linux, it's a relatively good alternative.
