Working for an Airline Company# Tough Decision

In my previous post you have found out how I decided to work in the modelling industry and now I would like to share with you my working experience for an airline company. When I finished my graduation, I was appointed as customer service assistant in a famous airline company in Mauritius. 

It was my very first step to the world of work. I was delighted to work for such a great company; many few of us get this opportunity. On the top, I had no experience at all. I received a warm welcome on my first working day and I met other colleagues who were in my team. The prestigious company offered us (the other ten recruitees) on job training. Our main role was to deal with customers on the telephone, just like many discord chat moderators do.  

The main objectives were to give flight details to customers and to answer their queries in a polite manner. I developed many skills such as clear communication, attentiveness, acting skills, team work, time Management, calming presence, and ability to handle surprise, persuasion skills and many more. I made lots of good friends and we created such a strong bond, just like a family. I also got the opportunity to visit our airport in Plaine Magnien especially in VIPs sections and also learnt how the operation works.   

 After completing three years, I was offered the position of an air hostess which I declined. Yes I had to refuse because at that time I was also being offered to a fulfilment analyst position in a company based in London. So, I had to decide whether to work as an Air hostess or fly to London. 

Tough decision huh! 

I know, and on the other hand, I was planning to be model and I had to make a decision in a short lapse of time. After deep thought, I flied to London and accepted the job offer.  It was painful for me to leave everything behind but I was ready to accept the new challenges coming in my way.
