Namibia road trip day 5

If we slept 2 hours that evening it would be a lie... we woke up dead tired. The whole evening long we had this huge windstorm outside the tent which literally flattened the tent onto us.

The amount of wind had picked up a lot of dust and sand, we could hardly open our eyes to pack up and hit the road. Everything was being sand blasted, it became so bad that as we were driving we could hardly see in front of us.

Eventually we got to the spot we wanted to camp... it was a good thing they didn't allow us through the previous day as we would if been covered in sand. The dewns were shooting off sand which made visibility deeper inside almost nothing.

Around 1pm things started to cam down slightly. We decided to climb up one of the huge dewns and I had to run back down as the sand was blasting the skin off of my legs.

We left the area sad and wanting more dewns, we were determined to find a place to do what we came for.

Nice picture of Namibia road.

I'm not quite clear what your dreams were with regard to the dunes, but I'm guessing you mentioned it in some earlier post.

I've travelled around Botswana, but I never went as far as Namibia. From photos I've seen, it seems to be a place of stark beauty, but not comfortable. I enjoyed this post, thank you.

Definitely a very different place but it is very desolate most of the way.

At least the sandstorm made for some cool pics. Well, I do hope you find what it is your in search of. Cheers

Yes we found really cool place as I will show you in the next post

well that was a rough day pheww wind everywhere blowing like hell

It must have been a terrible night with that strong blizzard, I hope that today they can rest better! However they took amazing pictures about the trip is an excellent job :)
