Sometimes it feels like a treacherous journey, thankfully there’s usually a bridge in sight. This one in Minnewaska State Park was a particularly helpful one.
No matter how rocky, Upstate New York is a dream this time of year.

How thoughtful of the bridge builders to put a bridge over those rocks as opposed to just over water, I do like how it's just a single log though

Consequently, innovative thinking and engineering can make use of low cost materials to build adequate, efficient, and safe load-bearing log bridges.
The log bridge is far less costly than double walled plastic culverts or concrete box structures when temporary access is all that is needed.
