Wine harvest has begun...

We went for a nice walk with the dogs yesterday. I like it when the weather is like this. Not too cold but a colorful sky, a little wind and an occasional little drizzle shower.

This is one of our favorite spots for walking the dogs. In the middle of these wonderful vineyards.

It always amazes me how fast these wine harvester machines manage to harvest vast areas of these vineyards in such short time frames.

I imagine how long it takes to manually harvest the grapes in these vineyards. There are still a few that are simply to steep for those machines. But most of these old vineyards are abandoned for years because it's simply not economically feasible to do all the work in these manually.

Some of the vine leaves already changed to their fall color.

In a matter of minutes the vine harvester machine has cleared another two lanes.

Otto enjoys these slow walks in the vineyards very much! So much to see and sniff!

Otto surely enjoyed the walk... being rubbed down with a towel... not so much, Hahaha!

Done with the rub down... mandatory dog kiss afterwards!
