Escape to Joshua Tree
For the first time in a long time, it’s... time for a little vacation. The desert is not my first choice for a getaway, but I’m enjoying it so far.
We drove from Los Angeles last night into this desolate region of California. Ramshackle homes and RVs pepper the landscape. It’s part Breaking Bad and part hippy artist heaven.
The sunrise was a hot metal orange this morning. The dust out here probably helps make it that color. Long shadows reached out from every object.
Not many animals yet. Just some crows. Hoping to see something interesting out here.
