Подснежник - Первое дыхание весны
Подснежник лесной издавна является символом весны, чистоты, молодости и свежести, а также говорит о том, что нужно радоваться как настоящему, так и будущему, и гнать из своего сердца воспоминания о неудачах – поэтому нет ничего удивительного в том, что эти нежные, красивые цветы чрезвычайно популярны. Подснежники, первые цветы весны, или как их назвали греки, галантусы («молочные цветы») принадлежат к роду многолетних трав семейства амариллисовых, являются ранними мелколуковичными растениями и занесены в Красную книгу.

В дикой природе растут подснежники в лесу: в центре и на юге европейского континента, немало их на побережье Чёрного и Каспийского морей, а также в Малой Азии. Предпочтение эти цветы отдают солнечным участкам, хотя без проблем растут и в тени, но местность с застоем воды они не переносят.

Есть история про них.
Вскоре после того как Адам и Ева были изгнаны из рая, наступила зима. Длилась она долго, на земле царили лютые морозы, а холодный безжалостный снег не жалел абсолютно никого. В конце концов, Ева не выдержала – и расплакалась. Плакала она не столько от боли и холода, сколько от сожаления о совершённой ошибке и о потерянном рае. И тогда Господь сжалился над ней – и превратил её слезинки в самые нежные цветы этого мира. Так появились подснежники в снегу, сигнализирующие о приходе весны.
