Norway – A day well spent (15 Photos)

It's Easter and it's spring. It's a different spring. It is definitely the spring we will never forget. Covid-19 has characterized our everyday lives for about three weeks now. It's lockdown and for the most part it's about being home. But we can go out and enjoy nature.

A couple of days ago I went for a walk with two friends in a forest area only approx. 45 minutes from Kristiansand, where I live. The place is called Drivenes. The hike we did was about 10 km. The sun was shining. The weather was perfect for a day out. We followed a wheel track all around and ending up at the starting point. In winter it's a very popular place to go skiing.

A couple of years ago there was a major forest fire here. That is why the trees are completely leafless. But the tree trunks themselves still stand and gives the impression of a ghost forest.. As we continue to walk, we see that the area with dead trees is quite large.

We are almost done the circular route when we come to another small lake where we chose to leave the wheel track . Now we had entered an area which the forest fire hadn't reached. Here the trees will become green again.

A day well spent in nature even it's not green yet. And it was spend with good friends.
