The Horror
A photo shoot with Sakura Stars

This photo shoot was done as a contest entry for the now defunct Zivity site. I was really happy with how these pictures ended up so I wanted to share them here in Steemit. 

The Model

Huge props to the awesome Sakura Stars. I have worked with her many times in the past and she always brings a ton of creativity and energy to the shoots. Sakura brought all the props and outfits for this shoot. I think they fit perfectly for the shoot's theme.

The Idea

The theme for the Zivity contest was horror, or something that would remind you of an old horror movie. We ended up doing something related to Rosemary's Baby, or a possessed child. 

Sakura's modeling in this shoot was incredible. She really took over the role of the creature's mother. Her hair and facial expressions made it look like she was extremely distressed, but an accomplice of evil at the same time.

The Location

These pictures were taken in my old studio (my garage). The concrete floor of the garage has different shades of black and random cracks. I set up a strobe light as high as it could get and looking straight down to create lots of shadows. This gave a really cool dramatic and high contrast effect. 

Of course, I had to make these photos black and white and I edited them with high contrast and clarity to make the image even more dramatic looking.
