雞🐔 飛，狗 🐶 跳，逛眼科買糕點。Go to Miyahara Eye Hospital for ... cakes?

我們初一到台中市區，除了緬懷雞年之外，還去看了看這幾年台中最知名的"眼科"。^^

靠近臺中火車站的綠川旁，一棟由紅磚瓦構成的建築，是臺中以土鳳梨酥一戰成名的「日出」蛋糕團隊買下了宮原眼科的舊址。宮原眼科外部的紅磚牆、舊牌樓被完整保留下來，打造成富有懷舊風情的紅磚木頂式騎樓，走進店內，仿造復古挑高圖書館的裝飾，創造出新舊時代的魔幻空間。宮原眼科是日治時代臺中規模最大的眼科診所，1945年日本戰敗，宮原眼科變成了臺中衛生院，但隨著時代的物換遷移，老舊沒落的衛生院逐漸成了危樓，更在九二一大地震中變成了雜草叢生的廢墟。直到「日出」經營團隊耗時一年半，結合兩位建築師、一位古蹟修復博士所共同打造出現代感的日出宮原眼科。保留具有年代歷史的老建築是一件非常不容易的事，但在「日出」團隊的巧思與努力之下，臺中宮原眼科不僅還存有老房子的氣息，改建整修後還能讓人感受到歷史的感動，著實是一座令人嘆為觀止的建築，天花板的透光玻璃將光線自然引進，陽光灑進屋裡甚是美麗；室內的裝潢也相當有氣勢，挑高的設計像極了哈利波特內霍格華茲學院的場景，以木頭建造的書架和櫃子營造出一種特有的質感美。

跟著我一起學習，這棟美麗老屋的歷史，或許曾經有過不堪的歲月，但如今在糖與麵粉中喜獲重生，一切都是可人的了。其實，這世界上根本就沒有什麼文化創業產業，只有有條件有資源的人，是否願意做有眼光，有品味，有難度，且利人利己的事業。看過宮原眼科，更是尊敬日出集團的作為，賀喜台中市能有這樣的企業家。

Miyahara Eye Hospital, a new tourist attraction at Central district of Taichung. It was an eye clinic built by a Japanese optometrist- Miyahara (Gong Yuan) during the time of the Japanese occupation. It is a 2-story red brick building with arch designed passageway, which was the largest eye clinic in Taichung at that time. In 1945, the building was levied by government and became the Taichung Health Center; however, later it was identified as dangerous post-earthquake building after 921 earthquakes and became an obsolete remnant.

The renovation of this relic is not only to establish a flagship store for “Dawn Cake”, but also to accomplish a dream of this construction team, restoring the prosperity of Central District of Taichung. Also, the owner hopes that this ancient building would pass down memories and spirits of the history had happened in this sector to young generations. A unique interior design is another appealing focal point. Based on the original clinic and pharmacy design blends in with the essential concept of reading and books in their interior design, the store is fitted with high ceiling, light-brown wooden wall book cabinets, medicine chests and warm lighting in creating tranquility and a library atmosphere. The store of “Dawn Cake” is renowned of its native pineapple cake, cheese cake and other culinary products, so that it is a perfect souvenir as gift when people visit Taichung.

我們久聞宮原眼科大名，終於在狗年伊始得見其面貌。惟行程匆匆，只能走馬看花，連一塊餅都沒買。還好平日我們就常買日出蛋糕的糕點送人，免費參觀這間精心設計重建的古蹟，倒不會太心虛。替台中感到高興，又是一間兼具文化內涵，又能夠為店家帶來利潤，為觀光客帶來驚喜，為在地人帶來光榮感與興盛的好店。我們不介意到眼科買鳳梨酥，下次再來一間五金行之類的也行。
