Colour challenge | MondayRed: Talha wine
In the Alentejo region (southern Portugal), we call these huge reddish pots "talhas "...
And what are they, you ask?
Well... they are a kind of amphora made of clay, used to make wine, with a technique developed by the Romans many centuries ago!
In fact, talha wines are at the origin of all the Alentejo region wine production!
Very cool stuff, David... and they look quite sturdy, too! Nice shot!
Thanks @trincowski :) And the wine is incredibly good ... It has a unique flavor!
Cheers
