When glaciers recede, they normally leave rocks and piles of debris. In this case, the pile just happened to be "super sized"!

Ah glaciers, that makes the most sense. Really obvious too now that I'm looking back at this, I've got some serious pregnancy brain. I seriously just obsessed over the glacial striations of another coast I reading about recently...
