Ink Pots in Banff National Park
The trailhead begins at the Johnston Canyon Upper Falls area (Johnston Canyon is located just off of the 1a highway). An easy 3 km (1.8 mi) hike takes you to 7 cold mineral springs bubbling to the surface, creating a neat blue-green colour. The basin is actually composed of quicksand!
