IMO you need to stick with the colors. The yellow/black contrast is great, gives the eye something to bounce around on; the green behind it looks good; sky looks OK. If you put it to black and white then it will look like one of those pictures where people say, "If I convert it to B&W then it will automatically look articstic." TBH this pic is not that strong to begin with, so it needs all the help it can get. Keep the colors. IMO.
Also, I just found your account today, and you have lots of great pix on there. Hope you don't take my critical comments on this particular photo personally.
