In the Canadian Rockies you will find all sorts of wildlife, including this little marmot, who we found playing on the Rockpile beside Moraine Lake, Banff National Park. He was such a friendly critter, and just loved having his picture taken! Other animals that frequent the area are: Pikas, Martens and the odd Black Bear and Grizzly Bear.

The Canadian Rockies are the Canadian part of the Rocky Mountains. They extend 1,200 km from the border between Canada and the United States to the Liard River plain in British Columbia.
