On the way to Goat creek last April, we encountered this family of Bighorn Sheep climbing on the side of the road. One might think they are mountain goats, but in fact they are Bighorn Sheep. The goats actually look a lot different.
At the time it was just starting to snow pretty good, so we ended up turning around and drove back to Calgary. As it turned out, the snow turned into a mini blizzard later on stranding 100’s of vehicles on the Trans-Canada #1. Photos taken with my Huawei P20 Pro Smartphone.

Such beautiful sheep! I have only seen goats on the Parkway to Jasper. They are such magestic animals. That was an epic storm last April. Phew! Worst winter conditions I have ever driven in. I was on the QE2. Edmonton to Strathmore. Icarumba!! Glad it all worked out. ❤
Luckily we left for Calgary when we did, otherwise may have been one of the casualties that night! The next afternoon I went back to Canmore and there were tons of cars in the ditches, perhaps a lot of tourists that are unfamiliar with our Canadian roads!
Great shots! I'm astounded by their ability to scale the sides of these cliffs/super steep hills and mountains.
